Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was very productive in my learning, but unfortunately not my completion of assignments. This break, I was able to balance my responsibilities that I promised my mentor; learning more about APIs. By using “Youtube University,” I was able to use the media site to learn more about constructing APIs, even creating a carbon copy of youtube and learning more about javascript and express through crashcourses. This new knowledge will benefit me, as I believe that I can use this to construct my final work. In addition, I was able to work on my original work project. My proposal was a simple UI of my application idea that would give the audience an idea of what I wanted to develop. I first started researching applications with intuitive and engaging userfaces; I took inspiration and guidance from these and first wrote on paper what I wanted on the homepage of the application, and the perspective of what the child would see. After some time, I then started the construction of what the child perceived, and afterward I began to start on the parent interface blueprint of my application, which I didn't get to finish. Although I did learn a lot, I was unable to finish a lot of the assignments that I wanted to complete. I still have all three research/interview assignments (Which I have now set a goal to complete), as well as some blogs and other similar papers.
