Professional Preparation
2/4/2024
With the multiple professional events around the corner, such as the ISM Research Showcase and the FHS Gallery Walk, it was imperative that I prepared myself and adapt to the professional environments that I would be exposed to.
In order to successfully prepare for each event, I first needed to finish my tri-fold board that would be used in both the Gallery Walk and the Research Showcase. My vision was to have five sections on the board: two on each side panel and one in the middle panel. Going off of the most sight drawing colors - I found that using pink stood out - I constructed areas of work on the board where I began to make these five sections. After I had finished designing the work area of my board, I began to type out responses that explained my selected topics: On one side, my prospective mentor and descipriont of my topic, my original work in the middle, and on the other side, about me and my mission statements. In order to go off of the technological feel, I then incorporated visuals of iphones and cables in order to draw in audience members.
In addition, to professionally adapt to my situation, I spent time reconciling over what I would say when presenting my topic, as well as the answers to potential questions that would pop up with my presentations.
