This upcoming Friday is the ISM Research Showcase: an event where all ISM students have the ability to present their topic of interest and all the work that was put into the original work product. In addition, this event was also a really good opportunity to build connections; as mentors of other students in addition to parents and siblings that are in my career field of interest would all be there. As a result, I felt that I needed to enhance the experience and knowledge someone gained at my board, so I started the week by polishing my original work and my presentation board for a more intuitive audience experience. With the physical logistics completed, I then brainstormed what I would want to say to the audience members around my board. 

With my original work being a model of an application that I would want to create and then market, I felt as if I wanted to ask an inconspicuous question to the audience about the relevancy of my application. I then began to brainstorm the best way in which I could ask the audience.

At the night of the showcase, I was met with many families and professionals, as well as familiar faces. As I pitched my speech about my topic, original work, and prospective mentor, I was received with interested minds and congratulating words as they found value in my field of study and the product I had brainstormed for my original work.
